Haven’t we all had moments of deep reflection in which we think about the grand questions: How did I get here? What is my purpose? Where am I going?
It seems to me that there are really only two approaches to handling these thoughts. The first option is to choose distraction and avoidance. Human beings can try to ignore these topics by filling their lives with meaningless activities, endlessly pursuing the fulfilment of their desires and chasing temporary goals. If this is the path you take, then know that there will undoubtedly come a time in your life when you are longer satisfied by that which used to satisfy you, nor are you pleased with that which used to please you.
This is a path towards failure in this life and the next.
So, we are left with the second option which is to undertake a journey of seeking the Truth.
